| Wednesday morning found us at the top of Glen Coe setting off to climb Buachaile Etive Mor. We were to climb via the ' Curved Ridge' route (a grade 2/3 winter climb) to the summit of Stob Dearg (1022m)- the left hand skyline in this photograph- and make our descent down the Coire na Tulaich (the prominent corrie right of centre in the photo). | ||||
| A beautiful sunny day offered wonderful views across to Ben Nevis and Mamores to the North... |

| ..and Rannoch Moor to the East.

Eventually we reached the bottom and start |

| Far less snow than our previous climb but patches of ice still made our crampons and axes essential. | ||||
| This climb (grade 2/3 winter climb) certainly provided us with a greater sense of exposure than the previous day, but with stunning views over Rannoch Moor. | ||||

| Eventually we reached the base of the Buttress and after a brief rest we negotiated the steeply sloping snow gully round the Buttress and up to the summit, Stob Dearg (1022m) | ||||
